JCI Makati 2018 President, Filipino motivational speaker, visited Biaan Aeta Integrated School in his hometown in Mariveles, Bataan on December 5. He made an ocular of the school, which JCI Makati has identified as a beneficiary of their current and upcoming projects. Pocholo also engaged in conversations with some of the pupils and faculty members to determine the primary needs of the school.
Pocholo did not miss the opportunity to meet the Aeta students. They were gathered in the faculty room for a meet-and-greet with the VoiceMaster, who amazed them with his ensemble of character voices. He also did a lively and interactive storytelling session with them, and even gave the kids tips on how to tell children’s stories.
In that same vein, Pocholo turned over to the school 100 children’s story books, which were donated by Lampara Books through JCI Makati.
Pocholo ended the quick but impactful visit by going to each classroom and inspiring the students.
Biaan Aeta Integrated School is a DepED-Managed partially urban public Integrated school, catering to both Elementary and High School students. It is a relatively small school with no more than 200 student population. Their primary need is a feeding center, as they have over 50 students who are beneficiaries of their feeding program, but no proper place to be fed in.
The school is one of the beneficiaries of JCI Makati’s special screening of “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” on December 16, 2017.
