Mina holds a creative writing degree from the University of the Philippines Diliman. Currently, she is taking Diploma of Language and Literacy Education (leading to Master’s) at the University of the Philippines Open University.
She is working as a copywriter. She writes for a BPO company that supplies content for US and Canada based businesses. She also writes for a local wedding website, does some freelance PR works, and contributes for magazines on the side. She manages VOTYOnline.com and writes for WhenInManila.com.
She fell in love with writing when she was in fifth grade. She became part of the school paper and joined a district-wide competition in Antipolo City where she bagged several awards. She remained active in joining division, regional, and national competitions until she finished high school.
Apart from writing, Mina is also passionate about broadcasting. In fact, when she was in third year high school, she was part of the team that won first place in the Script Writing and Radio Broadcasting event at the National Schools Press Conference, the biggest and most prestigious campus journalism competition in the country.
Although she focused more on writing after finishing high school, she was able to rekindle her love for broadcasting when she met the VoiceMaster in 2011. She became a VoiceWorx scholar. She also joined VOTY, which gave her the chance to use both her writing and broadcasting skills.
Besides broadcasting for VOTY, she has also hosted and done voice over for several events, including bridal fairs.
As a young boy, JC Garcia dreamed of getting to be heard on TV just like the announcers he heard on air.
Getting a degree in Economics, having a long career in the BPO and pursuing many developmental activities, all led him to where he is now.
JC chanced upon Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales and Voiceworx twice – once when searching online for a developmental course for his work as a trainer and the second one was through a voiceover project that a client wanted him to do right at the Creativoices Productions studio along Dian Street in Makati.
That connection made him want to bring his craft to the next level so he got trained by the Voicemaster and his team after enrollment in the course and the rest – TV and ads, corporate AVPs, events voice overs and hosting – were history.
Now, he is with Creativoices and in charge of managing talents, helping them expand their horizons in the art of using their God-given gift of making use of their voice to reach a much wider audience.
