RCD Land Inc. held its Midyear Broker’s Meeting at the R&R Resort in Binan, Laguna on August 29, 2018. Hundreds of agents and broker partners attended the event with the theme “Let’s finish the year strong.” And for the second time around, Filipino motivational speaker Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales was invited as their guest speaker.
From speaking about passion-driven work in his previous talk with the company, Pocholo focused his comeback talk around goal achieving. In line with the theme of the gathering, Pocholo inspired the agents and brokers to set goals and actually take steps to achieve them. Pocholo started by reintroducing himself, his company (Creativoices Productions), as well as his idol, Lars Godbersen. Pocholo did a mini-pep talk regarding sales, and shared to the audience that just like them, he is also in the business of selling not just his company’s product (voice), but also the realization of dreams of his fellow Filipinos. He reminded the audience that the same thing is true with real estate, that they are also in the business of helping people realize their dreams to own their own home.
Pocholo then shifted to the more concrete topic about goals. He defined what a goal is and how it should be written, so that people will not confuse it with a mere wish or aspiration. Pocholo introduced the concept of creating S.M.A.R.T.E.R. goals – specific, measurable, actionable, realistic, timebound, exciting and relevant. He explained each element of a goal so that the participants can either rewrite their existing goals or create a new one.
Pocholo then called onstage one of his students, Ada Cuaresma, who did a short presentation to give tips on how to go from goal-setting to goal-achieving. Ada shared her personal journey on how she was mentored by the VoiceMaster to realize her dream of being a motivational speaker. She then gave the audience 5 tips to take the first steps to achieving their SMARTER goals.
Ada closed her presentation by introducing yet another of Pocholo’s students, Andrew San Fernando, also known as DJ BonJing of iFM 93.9. Andrew shared his story of how he won a scholarship in Pocholo’s voice acting school, and then went on as a volunteer broadcaster under Voice of the Youth Network, until he became a full-time DJ. Through his story, Andrew inspired the audience with his 3 C’s for success – confidence, connection and consistency.
Overall, the agents and brokers were inspired and empowered with new knowledge to achieve their goals for 2018 and beyond.
